Hip pain? Back tension? Try these 3 simple moves.

Let’s talk hip shifting.

This might be the most overlooked movement skill that women skip in strength training… and honestly?
It’s one of the most powerful tools I use with my clients to relieve low back pain, glute tightness, pelvic floor tension, and hip stiffness.

Most strength programs never address it—and I learned that the hard way 😅

If your hips feel like bricks...
If your low back is constantly trying to do all the work…
If your glutes feel “tight” but never actually do their job…

Then THIS is your wake-up call.

We cover hip shifting in Week 5 of Strong AF Foundation, and I feel like I am always talking about it with my clients and members because it’s THAT important.

Today I’m hooking you up with 3 hip shift variations you can try from home:

1️⃣ Side lying Hip Shift- Learn to rotate the pelvis with references
2️⃣ Bear Hip Shift with references- Utilize references that work WITH your pelvis and femurs to truly find glute length
3️⃣ Standing Single Leg Deadlift with Rotation- For the women who struggle to FEEL their glutes in hinges! YOU WILL LOVE THESE 😉

IMO, you don’t need to randomly stretch more.

You need your pelvis to MOVE so your glutes, hamstrings, and inner thighs can actually fire.

These moves will help you do exactly that.

Let me know if you give them a try—and if you want my eyes on your form, #FormFriday is always open inside my Move Your Body Membership and Strong AF Foundation. 💛

Here’s what the women are saying!!!

We just wrapped up the Spring Session of Strong AF—but if you want in next time (or you're just realizing this is the kind of coaching you’ve been missing), click here to join the waitlist and help me shape the next round!

You can build real strength that actually feels good in your body.

This is the work that gets you there. Your glutes will thank you later 😉

XOXO

Foot stuff = butt stuff. I've been saying it for years 😂 — and here's how I learned it, in my own body. Growing up I played soccer and lacrosse, and I rolled my ankles A LOT, way more on my left than my right. Didn't think much of it. Taped it, kept going. Fast forward: two vaginal births, and I could never fully relax the left side of my pelvic floor. Same side. Coincidence? Not even a little. After kids, for years my left side was the story, tight, locked down, compensating. Left hip pain,...

Can I be real with you for a second? It is SO easy to lose yourself in motherhood and a career. The working-and-momming, working-and-momming loop just… swallows you. And somewhere in my 40s, I caught myself wondering: who the f*ck even am I anymore? Here's what I remembered: I've been an athlete my whole life. Sports are how I've always connected with people—it's where I feel most like ME. So this year I did something just for me and picked up a paddle. 🎾 Honestly? Best decision I've made all...

Some of you this will speak to. Maybe even for. Today my youngest turns 8. EIGHT. I'm in my feels, so I am going to write from there. Fair warning: some of you might not love what I'm about to say. But I have a feeling that for others, it'll speak to you, maybe even for you. That's who I'm writing to today. Here's something I don't say out loud often: I was NOT the girl who dreamed of getting married and becoming a mother. It wasn't even on my radar. I thought I'd have a life full of the...
